Open Garden

Take a slower stroll through the open garden darling
Roses and the poppies grew
Tulips biding time, but only for the likes of you
Timid little cities so full of brown and grey
Brick on brick and concrete too
Brooding exodus of lovers, one by two
By two

Lines in time are slowing cycling

Even if I'm called away
I'll take root in you
Even if I'm called away
I'll take root in you

Buried in the trenches like rats in sewer drains
Everybody's catching hell
I threw all my sons and brothers to the commonwealth
Wealth

Lines in time are slowing cycling

Even if I'm called away
I'll take root in you
Even if I'm called away
I'll take root in you

held between time and space for a moment, such a beauty exists

only there and only because of the passing moment, can that beauty ever be
